Concrete Laborer

Patriot Excavating is seeking a Concrete Laborer to join our crew. This position will play an important role in supporting the operations of our team. This is a direct-hire, 1st shift position, Monday-Friday, that includes overtime and some weekend work.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who takes pride in their work and pays attention to detail. In this role, you will accurately and efficiently form, pour, and finish concrete; make repairs as needed, assist with demolition and site work  as needed; as well as help perform snow removal in the winter months. At times you may be asked to deliver products to job sites and/or pull equipment via truck and trailer.

Patriot Excavating is a division of White’s Electrical, LLC. Locally owned and operated, we began doing excavation for electrical projects, but quickly expanded to handle a variety of other services. We are a dedicated crew who knows how to get the job done correctly, within budget, and done with pride.   • Load, unload, and identify materials, machinery, and tools; then distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications
  • Clean and prep construction sites
  • Clean tools, equipment, machinery and work areas
  • Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, ramps, forms, and other temp structures
  • Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations using a variety of materials and forming systems
  • Pour, spread, level, and form concrete to specifications 
  • Apply various stains, stamps, and sealants to concrete as needed
  • Follow directions and efficiently complete tasks as assigned
  • Strong adherence to safe work practices
  • Prior experience pouring and finishing concrete 
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to meet the physical demands of the job
  • Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
  • Knowledge of proper safety procedures and a commitment to safety rules
  • A team player who works well with all levels of the organization

  • This position requires self-direction, organization, and  a willingness to follow instructions
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Concrete laborers must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance. They must also be able to concentrate on their tasks.
  • The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential.
  • Some tools and machines are computerized, requiring technical knowledge to use.
  • Must be able to lift and move 75 pounds, able to stand for long periods of time, and must have the ability to use shovels, rakes, and other power tools.
  • Must have a clean driving record and possession of valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing and able to pass a drug screen and background check
